Upward Trees
This photo was from line and shape during the first term. It has a point of view looking upward. I chose this photo because it has a strong sense of leading lines through the middle of the photograph.

Blue Skies
This photo was also from the line and shape category. I chose this photo because of the variety of colors and how it has leading lines throughout the arbor, leading the viewers eye up and about the picture. Also because it has the point of view of an ant and nothing is completely blurry. |
DropletsI chose this photo from the pattern and texture category. It has a strong foreground where only the far left side of the picture is blurred. Also because the shadow's of the droplets give it a 3D effect. The distance was less than half a foot. My point of view was straight on with a slight angle to make the camera look up. This photo was taken vertically. The rain drops does follow the rule of thirds because there are rain drops scattered all over the frame, but none of them are completely centered. This photo was an example of texture because it accentuates the amount of water in each drop and it shows the shadow of each drop.

Pocket Full of SunshineThis photo was from motion. In the picture Joe is spinning the rainbow umbrella but because of the but because of the slower shutter (1/20 sec) speed you can't see all of the colors without them being blurred. However, Joe is still in focus. The shutter speed of this photo was .6 seconds and the ISO was 100.

Plaid and Pom-Poms
This photo was also from the motion category. The pom-poms in Emily's hands are blurry because of the slower shutter speed. This makes the motion that she is creating blurry, yet she is completely focused. This image also has a sense of foreground focus, Emily being the foreground, and a blurrier background, being the trees and the field. The shutter speed of this photo was .6 seconds and the ISO was 100.

Tri-LightsThis photo is from painting with light. There are three strands of Christmas lights being swung around in circles, hence the circular shape. This photo was taken with a shutter speed of 8 seconds. It could be interpreted as very colorful and bright. However it could also be interpreted as dizzy and that a lot is going on.
